One man's garbage can be another man's treasure...

My mom saw a gentleman put this vintage Samsonite trolley out with his garbage. She took it home and this weekend when Laura and me visited, she gave it to us. So now you understand the title...

Vers [fresh] Audio

Could you craft a more beautiful, better sounding system with LESS impact to the environment at the same time? They thought so, and it’s been the driving passion behind Vers from day one – to be better in every way imaginable.

Porsche Panamera [daydreaming]

When you go through the blog you will notice that when I post a car, it's always an oldie. So I thought I'd post a new model now. Truth be told 99% will never see the inside of this car because it is unaffordable for mir mortals. Anyway, this is a new car that I saw in the streets the other day and couldn't help but daydream: what if...

In my dream it's matt black.

Wooden floors [don't fake it]

I like a wooden floor, it brings warmth to a home and gives it sort of a Scandinavian feel. What I don't like is a floor that pretends to be wood, but isn't. To me that's basically lying. If you don't like wood because it is a living material and therefore shrinks, expands etc. than just get a different material. Don't fake it.

The pictures above are taken about a year ago when they were putting in my floor [steamed oak].

When on the topic of good music...

Paloma Faith #2

Yesterday I went to see Paloma Faith perform live in Amsterdam. Before going I already saw a lot of her live footage on youtube so I knew it would be good. It was, so check her out if you have the chance.

Golden Tulip Hotel Zaandam, the Netherlands

This is a very good example of something where I don't know if I really like it or hate it, but I have to give the architect props for trying something new.

This weekend I decided that I will go back to Bali coming August. For the obvious reasons like sun, surf, sunset etc. but also a very big reason is the mindset of the people. The Balinese people are so laid-back and happy, that it rubs off on you. Stay there for a few weeks and you'll return a different person.

Not wide nor tight...

I banned the low v-necks a few summers ago and started wearing loose crew neck t-shirts. In the beginning I just stretched the necks out myself, but since a few summers you can get some really nice ones everywhere. Now AP also picked up on it.
