Japanese illustrations

There is actually a funny personal story behind these illustrations. About ten years ago I was an intern at a design agency in Amsterdam. In their brandbook they of course had all this nice info on their work, a portfolio if you will.

The pages of the book were folded in a way that you would only see the outside of them (Japanese binding method). On the inside of the folded pages were these Japanese erotic images that you see above. They were meant as sort of a funny surprise to give the brandbook a bit of an edge to it.

I can tell you; not all clients found it funny...
