Ding dong; round one, fight!
The Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses can be listed as the moments most loved sunglasses. Seems like they’re everywhere from young Hollywood stars to your local wannabe. But now from far left we’ve got a contender stepping into the arena.
Remember the eighties when it seemed like everyone wore the Oakley sunglasses? Well Oakley has brought the oldskool Frogskins back but only in limited quantities. The release of these classics comes in four different colours with grey or ruby iridium lenses. In addition, the turquoise sunglasses come with white interchangeable arms (pictured above).
Already seen on a few celebrities, we can see that it has real potential. What sets this Oakley frogskins apart is that it also appeals to an alternative crowd like the surfers, skaters etc.
So if you need a change from your Wayfarers…

ReplyDeleteThe Ray-Ban Wayfarer is an iconic pair of sunglasses, they represent youth, sophistication and just plain cool, released in 1952 they vibe constantly with the Ray-Ban Aviator as the most popular and recognizable sunglasses in the entire world. If you wear a pair of "Frogskins" by Oakley others will simply think you're wearing a knock-off pair of Ray-Bans, simply put there is NO competition between the two it's like comparing a Ferrari to a Hybrid, if you want the best you'll go with Ray-Ban Wayfarers (in tortoise!)
ReplyDeleteI think ray ban wayfarers are nice and kool...but it's more like for older people don't get me wrong they're nice...and the oakley frogskins have a more fresher look , younger look..specially the oakley name on the arms...i like both,so I own both brands

ReplyDeleteAfter a recent trip to Bali, I've given up on Wayfarers. They are knocked off by everyone, and some of the fakes were so legit that I felt like a sucker for dropping real money on real ones. I recently copped Frogskins... They are about 1/4 the weight of the Wayfarers, fit better (I have both as prescription glasses, and the downward angle of the Wayfarers only works for sunglasses), and have thin arms that don't put a dent in your hair. Sticking to Oakley from now on for prescription glasses (although I have a lot of Ray-Ban sunglasses).
