The New York Black Yankees 1936 Ball Cap is a replica of the hats worn by the New York Black Yankees. Up until the late 40s, black baseball players played in what were affectionately known as the ‘Negro Leagues’. The New York Black Yankees were one of the most popular teams in the league, but interestingly they were also one of the worst, finishing in last place in ten seasons of the National Negro League before folding in 1948.
